Even though the national guidelines have been updated today (Monday 19th July) we have decided to keep all our infection control measures in place. We know that a lot of people are still concerned about coming in for an eye examination and we want to reassure you that we are doing all we can to make coming in for an examination a safe experience.
Please see below the measures we are taking to control the spread of Coronavirus.
We ask that all clients call or book online if you want to come into the practice, even if it just for a repair or adjustment, this is so we can limit the number of people in the practice at any one time. Due to this, the phones have been busier than normal so please bear with us and we will answer your call as soon as possible.
We ask that when attending an appointment, you do so alone wherever possible.
Any glasses you try on will be held to one side and sterilised with UV light before being put back on display.
Please clean your hands on arrival at the practice (we’ll provide hand-sanitiser) and wear a mask or face covering.
All our staff will be wearing masks.
You will be asked a series of questions as you enter the practice for an appointment to make sure that everyone entering is symptom free and should not be isolating.
Any procedures that involve close contact will be performed by our staff in full PPE for your (and the team's) safety.
All our equipment and consulting rooms are sterilised in between each use. Hard surfaces within the practice are also regularly disinfected throughout the day. We also have air purification units in each consulting room to cleanse the air.
All our staff have had the Covid vaccine (both doses).
We prefer not to accept cash payments and ask that you to use a card or contactless payment if possible.
If you have any question about any of these measures, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
